Meal Planning Monday

What do you think about when you sit down to meal plan each week? Are you thinking about the environment and the impact that eating meat plays on the environment? Are you thinking about the bennefits of eating seafood? Are you thinking about enjoying fresh produce and the impact that that has on your body? Are you thinking about buying items that are grown locally and in season, so that you can support your local growers?

I always try and buy items that are in season and locally (always Australian) grown… Because you don’t really know the way that items are grown in other countries (as Australia’s growing regulations are quiet strict)…

Take garlic – have you noticed that some garlic has purple skin and other garlic has white skin? The white skin variety often comes from China and has been bleached! Do you want to eat/ feed your family bleached garlic?

Meal Planning: Tuesday – Pulled Pork with Crunchy Slaw

Meal Planning: Wednesday – Italian Roast Chicken

Meal Planning: Thursday – Individual Moussaka (minus the eggplant) 

Meal Planning – Friday: Dukkah Crusted Chicken with Lemon Hommus

The first mangoes of the season have landed! And my boys are EXCITED! Mangoes, strawberries and finger bun to tie them over from second breakfast to lunch (Term 4 can’t come quick enough).
