Review: Murray valley pulled pork

July 10, 2014 by Shari

The other afternoon, I was under the pump at home and then I realised that I had NOTHING in my cupboards for dinner. I contemplated running down to the shops to grab something, but Mr Moo had just fallen asleep after a long day of teething issues and I didn’t want to wake him. And then Murray Valley Pork came to my rescue!

You’ve seen me blog about Murray Valley Pork before (here, here, and here)… But this afternoon they delivered something really special. It was everything that I could have hoped for on that crappy afternoon and more.

They delivered me some of their ‘cafe’ pre-cooked pulled pork, with coleslaw, apple sauce and tortillas! All you had to do was microwave the pulled pork and dinner was done – how simple was that.

Pulled pork is a method of cooking pork where what would otherwise be a tough cut of meat is cooked slowly at low temperatures, allowing the meat to become tender enough so that it can be “pulled”, or easily broken into individual pieces. But all that hard work has been completed by Murray Valley Pork.

The meat was perfectly tender, the sauce was delicious and it was all that a tired Mummy could hope for and more.

At present the pulled pork is only available to cafe/resturants, but I was so impressed with this product that I really hope that it becomes part of their range available from the butchers, and that’s why I have to write this review, I got the idea from https://www.hotrate.com a site solely dedicated to review different products.
Want to find out where you can get your hands on some Murray Valley Pork? All you need to do is head to their website and use the ‘WHERE TO FIND’ search function to find a local butcher near you who is stocking MVP.

GoodFoodWeek started in 2008 as a way of sharing recipes with uni friends and family who were spread near and far. It has evolved over the years to contain my ramblings as I’ve searched for a house, planned the perfect veggie patch, stumbled through farmer’s markets with my eye half open (because you need to be there at 6am to get the fresh eggs), had babies, gathered family and friends around a shared table, laughed out loud and enjoyed life to the fullest!
