Recipe: Monday meal ideas – great breakfast ideas for Mums

July 20, 2015 by Shari

Sometimes I am all over breakfast {for myself} and other times I am completely disorganised and I end up being ‘hangry’ {a state of anger brought on by not actually eating and being hungry}. That’s why I prefer going to a diner to get myself some great breakfast before I head out for work.

I seem to always have Matt’s Big Breakfast in mind when we choose to eat out, but in between feeding the Little Dude and prompting Mr Moo to finish his boiled egg and toast {his current favourite breakfast} I seem to have a bite or two of toast or a sip of tea before it’s cold and unappealing!
So, I am giving you {and prompting myself} on four really easy breakfast recipes for Mums. These are items that are quick to make and easy to eat. They are also packed with good things to keep Mums firing on all cylinders and will aid in reducing ‘hangry’ everywhere.
Four great breakfast options from GoodFoodWeek
A breakfast smoothie
Paleo pear and raspberry bread
A busy mum’s breakfast – apple and ricotta on toast
Overnight french toast {peaches and cream}
What are some of your favourite things to eat for breakfast? Do you make yourself a cup of coffee or a cup of tea prior to children waking? Do you drink instant coffee or do you prefer one made by a barista? Have you experienced ‘hanger’?

GoodFoodWeek started in 2008 as a way of sharing recipes with uni friends and family who were spread near and far. It has evolved over the years to contain my ramblings as I’ve searched for a house, planned the perfect veggie patch, stumbled through farmer’s markets with my eye half open (because you need to be there at 6am to get the fresh eggs), had babies, gathered family and friends around a shared table, laughed out loud and enjoyed life to the fullest!
