Oh man, did you get your hands on a Cadbury Marvellous Creations Easter Egg With Popping Candy Raspberry Chips & Beanies over the Easter period? I wanted to get this post up a little sooner then mid April – but unfortunately, morning sickness got the best of me. I doubt that you’ll be able to find an Easter egg around the supermarket now {let along around your home}, but it sure is a good recipe to have on hand for next year.
When I first tried the Cadbury Marvellous Creations Easter Egg With Popping Candy Raspberry Chips & Beanies , I thought it was something special. I’ve filled plain milk chocolate Easter eggs with white chocolate mousse in the past. But I thought that the delicious popping candy raspberry chips would really go well with a mango and passionfruit mousse {and let’s face it, no one really needs more chocolate on Easter Sunday}.
As I presented these eggs to our guests one exclaimed ‘oh my god, I didn’t think you could pimp an Easter egg’. I felt like Cadbury initially pimped the eggs with popping candy raspberry chips and beanies and I took it to another level with the mousse.
EASTER EGGS FILLED WITH MANGO AND PASSIONFRUIT MOUSSE
1 tbsp gelatine
1⁄3 cup water
2 cups mango pulp
1⁄3 cup passion fruit pulp
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 cup thickened cream

Stir gelatine and 1/3 cup boiling water in a small jug until dissolved. Cool 5 minutes.
Place mango pulp, passionfruit pulp {seeds removed} and lemon juice in a large bowl and stir to combine. Add the gelatine to the mixture.
Beat cream in a separate bowl to soft peaks. Fold cream into fruit mixture.
Take a teaspoon and use the handle to make a small hole in the top of the Easter egg – large enough to be able to fit your piping nozzle into. Pipe the mousse into the Easter eggs and allow to set overnight.
Did you get your hands on the Cadbury Marvellous Creations Easter Egg With Popping Candy Raspberry Chips & Beanies ? Have you ever pimped your Easter eggs? If you choose to whip up one of my recipes , then I would love for you to share it on social media, and don’t forget to use the hashtag #goodfoodweek.

Well thats a decident one isn’t it.
I find cadbury chocolate a bit grainy these days, bit I don’t mind the rocky road or the odd popping candy with the kids, can’t go past Haigh’s and I must say Aldi chocolate is bloody beautiful lol.
I also in no way envy your morning sickness you poor thing. I hope it passes for you, it was a 3 month nightmare with my daughter, I was literally house bound, seldom being able to walk to the toilet to even be sick.
My son though, no nausea, but I was sick everyday until he was out. I still prefer that then the nausea, that is hell.
I hope you feel better real soon hun & if I haven’t said it already, congratulations on the upcoming addition… even though I think your crazy. ?

Thanks Kim – with all the change that is about to happen, it is a wonder that we thought that another baby would be a good idea at the moment. Although, the baby was planned before all the wheels of change got in motion. Morning sickness is still around at 16 weeks, but I am getting used to it.

Argh! How did I miss these eggs? That chocolate with the popping candy is the absolute best!

I stumbled across them by accident and I sure am glad that I did. When I was trying to find a link for them, they were only available at limited shops. I picked up mine at Superbarn.

Oh Shari your a bad influence 🙂 I only have max brenner eggs left and they are mine! However I think this in a little chocolate bowl (I use the water balloon method) for a fun adult dessert would be great 😀
Shari from GoodFoodWeek says
Yes – make your own little chocolate bowls, that’s an awesome idea 🙂

This is such a fun idea! You are too clever, girl! xo

I thought that it was fun, Kristy. And the mango and passionfruit mousse makes it look a little like the inside of a runny boiled egg 🙂

Thanks Rebecca – we didn’t see my sister for Easter and she came to visit last week, bring a new stack of Easter eggs. Oh man, keeping the children out of the chocolate for breakfast is HARD.
