The Ultimate Rabbit Hole: I’m guest hosting

September 24, 2016 by Shari

Today will be the last time that I link up as the guest host for the Ultimate Rabbit Hole – next week Sammie will be back in her regular position, but you’ll still find me linking up a post for the week. In my final contribution of links, I would like to share some of my favourite bloggers and some of their posts from this week.

I’ve been a big fan of Stacey from Veggie Mama – from before I even had children. Stacey shares school holiday snack ideas to help you from going insane. I think that my favourite recipe that she shared is for her honey dukkah breadsticks, because my boys sure do love a breadstick.

Did you catch that Claire from Life on Wallace is pregnant with twins? That’s right after three beautiful boys, she is now pregnant with twins. Her latest post is entitled ‘Pregnant with Twins? Welcome to the worst hangover of your life!’

Do you ever wonder how other Mums handle family life? Family Beats is a little sticky beak into how other families operate. Each week, Bron from Maxabella loves, introduces us to a new mum and her way of life. This week she is shinning the light on  Shannon Wong-Nizic from Oh Creative Day.

I love a good disclaimer, I think Hugzilla has the best:

Disclaimer: There’s a bear in there. And a swear as well. There are people with games. And stories to tell. Open wide, come insi – …. OK, that’s all mostly bullshit. There are no bears or games, but there ARE most definitely swears. And a rambling story of sorts. If you’re not a fan of f-bombs then you might want to click out now.

She has written an awesome post this week called ‘six words I never expected to say: ‘my kid has a craniofacial deformity‘. I’m so sick of people asking me whether I am hoping for a girl {as we have two boys}. We had a baby, to have a baby. Fingers crossed our baby is happy and healthy. We just want our babies to grow up with as little crappiness thrown in their face as possible – and the world seems to be full of school bullies who weren’t given enough love or manners at home and jackass adults {probably from the same families}.

And finally, I couldn’t share some of my favourite bloggers without including a link from Beth from BabyMac…This week she shared her ultimate travel tips. The husband and I had spoken about returning the Europe for the Euros {which would have marked four years since our honeymoon}. But the stars didn’t align – or maybe they have, just in another way – as we were working on our new business and I was busy being pregnant again when the time came.

We joke that we might be back in another four years time. Mr Moo would be seven and a half, the Little Dude would be six, baby-to-be would be four and we may or may not have a fourth edition…To travel or not to travel when everyone is toilet trained!

Every Saturday morning, we will open up the Ultimate Rabbit Hole link up for bloggers to add their link list posts or even just their favourite post (if you are not of the link list kind) for the week. Please link only one post. This makes it fair for everyone and allows more posts to be read. Talking of reading, do try and pop along to say howdee to some of  the other lovely linkers. Link up here, over at Calm to Conniption or The Geeky Shopaholic. It doesn’t matter where you add your link because it will appear on all three blogs, as if by magic!  The link up will stay open until midnight the following Monday.

Shari from GoodFoodWeek

GoodFoodWeek started in 2008 as a way of sharing recipes with uni friends and family who were spread near and far. It has evolved over the years to contain my ramblings as I’ve searched for a house, planned the perfect veggie patch, stumbled through farmer’s markets with my eye half open (because you need to be there at 6am to get the fresh eggs), had babies, gathered family and friends around a shared table, laughed out loud and enjoyed life to the fullest!
