Competition: Snack time with Franjos Kitchen

October 1, 2016 by Shari

I’ve had a pretty positive breast feeding experience with both of my sons. I breast fed my first son for 12 months, where he self weened. And I breast fed my second son for 18 months, where I needed to ween him as I was so ill with my third pregnancy. I think that breast feeding can be a tough gig and it is important that you have people around you who support you and your decisions.

Now, it is hard to keep up your milk supply when your running around after other little ones and adjusting to your newborn – so when I saw these awesome products from Franjos Kitchen, I reached out to Fran and asked her if she would like to collaborate with me, in the form of a competition, because who doesn’t love a good bikkie with their cuppa? And she said yes!

I’ve really been enjoying the belly bump biscuits that they sent out to me… I’ve been creating delicious snacks and ‘dessert’ cheese plates for myself – which is really important when you’re growing a baby and running around after two little ones {seriously, Mums forget to eat when they are looking after others}.

Some of my favourite combinations include:

Pregnancy cravings - Franjos Belly Bump Pregnancy Crackers

Snack time – Franjos Belly Bump Pregnancy Crackers with hard cheese, quince paste and roasted chick peas.

Franjos Kitchen biscuits with cheese, figs, caramalised onions and date and almond logs

I can’t wait to try out the tank toppers when number three arrives!

But enough about me…Here is a little about the wonderful women at Franjo’s kitchen and their awesome product:

Here at Franjo’s Kitchen we are passionate about creating yummy, nutritious and most importantly delicious snacks for the whole family.  We believe that good food should taste great and be full of beautiful natural ingredients that work with your body, not against it. We see food as nature’s ultimate medicine. What you put into your body is so important, especially when pregnant and breastfeeding. So Dr. Philip S. Schoenfeld has formulated our products with your health and well being in mind.

Our products are created for pregnant and breastfeeding mums but they are also a beautiful wholesome snack for anyone to enjoy (including your partners and children). Good nutritious food made from real ingredients is for everyone. Tanker Toppers and Belly Bumps are just the beginning and we hope to keep your family’s pantries full for years to come.

Shari from GoodFoodWeek

GoodFoodWeek started in 2008 as a way of sharing recipes with uni friends and family who were spread near and far. It has evolved over the years to contain my ramblings as I’ve searched for a house, planned the perfect veggie patch, stumbled through farmer’s markets with my eye half open (because you need to be there at 6am to get the fresh eggs), had babies, gathered family and friends around a shared table, laughed out loud and enjoyed life to the fullest!
