Life: what’s in my kitchen

December 1, 2016 by Shari

Oh my goodness – December, where did you come from? I can’t believe that we are in the final month of the year. And unlike others preparing to wind down and get ready for holidays…we are telling ourselves ‘just keep swimming, just keep swimming’. There will be no down time for us, as the new business – Mr Perkins in Bondi – needs to be open.

With a focus on easy, everyday eating we started Mr Perkins to deliver a fresh and filling way to grab a meal on the go. As a collective we are all about feeling great, and we know that the food we eat plays a large part in that. Feeling good about our bodies, the food we eat, and our life, are all intertwined. We make each and every soup, pasta and salad with absolute care and attention to detail, using select ingredients, prepared with our home style touch. Come enjoy what we’ve been cooking up in our kitchen at Mr Perkins!

And so, I can’t wait to share with you what I’ve got in my home kitchen this month…

If you are interested in seeing what other lovely bloggers have in their kitchen this month, then head over to  Liz from Bizzy Lizzy’s Good Things who is now hosting this great link up! Liz and I go way back on the Canberra blogging scene so it is great to see her picking up the hosting duties – and I’m just so excited to see everyone’s IMK posts this month.

I’ve got Chobani yoghurt. I’m really enjoying the lemon and the cherry flavour. We normally flavour our own greek yoghurt, so that we can limit the amount of extra sugar that comes in ‘flavoured yoghurt’ – but at this point in time, I just want easy.

There is a tub or two of this delicious frozen greek yoghurt from Proud & Punch. I mean, is it really summer time without a delicious frozen treat or two?

We have lots of salads! You’ll find me here publishing lots of substantial salads for summer picnics and barbecues. What is your favourite salad recipe.

As gifts that keep on giving they have personal, corporate & event gifting covered with a touch of tropical luxe.

We have been munching on these delicious cookies that were sent as a gift for the birth of the z man from Cookies by Julia – homemade, handcrafted cookies and cupcakes made to order for any occasion {cookies shipped Australia wide}. I would love to order a box or two of cookies for the z man’s christening.

Julia has recently designed some amazing Paw Patrol cookies for a birthday party – I won’t be showing them to my sons {otherwise that’s the design that they’d be wanting for the z man’s christening}.

Shari from GoodFoodWeek

GoodFoodWeek started in 2008 as a way of sharing recipes with uni friends and family who were spread near and far. It has evolved over the years to contain my ramblings as I’ve searched for a house, planned the perfect veggie patch, stumbled through farmer’s markets with my eye half open (because you need to be there at 6am to get the fresh eggs), had babies, gathered family and friends around a shared table, laughed out loud and enjoyed life to the fullest!
