Did I tell you that I bought myself a waffle iron for Christmas? I did and I LOVE it. So simple for creating lots of healthy {and not so healthy} breakfasts for the whole family. I feel like they are easier then pancakes and are also less messy for little ones to consume. I whipped up some delicious ricotta and lemon waffles {recipe will be shared soon} which were also great cold, smeared with nutella and consumed one-handed, whilst little ones were napping and I was trying to get some jobs done.
If you too are into waffles at the moment, you can check out 20 surprisingly healthy waffle recipes here. How good do these sweet potato waffles for babies and toddlers look. And I just couldn’t go past these brown butter and banana waffles.
We are currently tossing up whether or not we should move closer to Bondi {and by that, I mean, moving right into the heart of Bondi Beach} – so that we will have more time with Daddy. At present, he does have a fair commute into the store and I am totally bummed that he has been at home the equivalent of one week of the Z man’s 4 months.
This means that we need to think about finding a new rental and looking for a new preschool / primary school for the boys in the coming years. We might need these seven ways to win over a potential land lord.
Most of the rental options in the Bondi area are apartments. The good news is that although you’ll pay a lot, most of them have been recently renovated and have state-of-the-art facilities such as pools and gyms {although those additions push those rentals WAY out of our budget}. This means that we need to look at the top 10 perks of apartment living.
Because although I’m happy about more time with the husband, I am a little sad about not having our own little veggie patch. Although, in saying that – I have been looking into the Waverly Community Garden and 241 Bondi Road Community Garden.
And seeing as we will be probably moving into an apartment, I have also been checking out the most child-friendly beaches in the Eastern Suburbs {because our boys are really outdoor kids}.
Do you live in an apartment? Do you live in an apartment with children? Do you have any tips or tricks for me? Or things to look for in a rental? What have you been whipping up for breakfast? Open to trying a waffle or two?
Every Saturday morning, we will open up the rabbit hole link up for bloggers to add their link list posts or even just their favourite post {if you are not of the link list kind} for the week. Please link only one post. This makes it fair for everyone and allows more posts to be read.
Talking of reading, do try and pop along to say hello to some of the other lovely linkers. This week, you can link up here or bob on over and say hello to Sammie from The Annoyed Thyroid, Jess from Confident Life or Paula from The Geeky Shopaholic. It doesn’t matter where you add your link because it will appear on both blogs, as if by magic! The link up will stay open until midnight the following Monday.
