Life: The Ultimate Rabbit Hole

February 25, 2017 by Shari

I feel like the last 6 months are catching up on me. After the big move to Sydney, the husband often was working interstate whilst I was in Sydney with the two young boys {whilst also being heavily pregnant}. Once the Z man was born, we hardly took a breath before opening up Mr Perkins – exactly one week later. From New Years day the husband worked a total of 38 days straight without a day off. We have established preschool routines and have jumped into swimming lessons with great gusto. Our days are jam-packed with adventures to the park and swimming in the bay. I juggle a part-time online job {which I try and fit in once the boys go to sleep}. And then I wait until my husband gets home from work after 11pm each night before I actually go to bed. These after midnight finishes are taking their toll.

I am sorry that I haven’t been as active on my post publishing. I am actually thinking that I will drop back to publishing every 3 days in March, instead of every 2 days…What do you think? But I am here today to share with you lots of links to wonderful bloggers that I am sure that you’ll also enjoy.

I’m busy following lots of other bloggers who are set to have another baby – like Shannon from Oh Creative Day . Her most recent post is an interesting piece on 11 ways to get creative with paint. Have you been following Claire from Life On Wallace? She is almost 40 weeks pregnant with twins and this week she wrote a letter to her girls. And then there is Erin from The Mums Group {although she just had her fourth – a girl name Olivia, after three beautiful boys}. Did you catch her post about sending Angus off to primary school for the first time?

I love the awesome supportive group of Mums that I have found online, and as the beautiful Hugzilla wrote The Mummy wars are fake news. There is always going to be that person who doesn’t agree with you, but that’s life. Not everyone is out to get you but I believe the majority of women/mums out there are just trying to support one another.

And I also think I have some pretty awesome neighbours who have been looking out for us {even though we are new to the neighbourhood – and will probably be moving soon}. Although I know what it is like to have crazy neighbours, we sure did have some doozies whilst growing up. What do you think of your neighbours – and are you a neighbourhood snob?

Finally, think ice cream for breakfast sounds like the BOMB? Here is a great post from Simone from PlaywithFood, where she shines the foodie spotlight on Carrie from Our Spiced Kitchen {one of my favourite Instagramers}.

So grab a cuppa and let me know; would you be disappointed if I cut back on my blog posts? Which pregnant bloggers are you following at the moment? Do you do painting with your little ones? What do you think about the Mummy wars? What do you think about fake news? Do you have some pretty crazy neighbours? Have you ever tried ice cream for breakfast? Who are some of your favourite Instagrammers?

Every Saturday morning, we will open up the rabbit hole link up for bloggers to add their link list posts or even just their favourite post {if you are not of the link list kind} for the week. Please link only one post. This makes it fair for everyone and allows more posts to be read.

Talking of reading, do try and pop along to say hello to some of  the other lovely linkers. This week, you can link up here or pop on over and say hello to Sammie from The Annoyed Thyroid, Jess from Confident Life or Paula from  The Geeky Shopaholic. It doesn’t matter where you add your link because it will appear on both blogs, as if by magic!  The link up will stay open until midnight the following Monday.

Shari from GoodFoodWeek

GoodFoodWeek started in 2008 as a way of sharing recipes with uni friends and family who were spread near and far. It has evolved over the years to contain my ramblings as I’ve searched for a house, planned the perfect veggie patch, stumbled through farmer’s markets with my eye half open (because you need to be there at 6am to get the fresh eggs), had babies, gathered family and friends around a shared table, laughed out loud and enjoyed life to the fullest!
