Another week bites the dust and we welcome March and Autumn {and the rain}. Did I mention that the door came off my dryer? I need to track down a new door to fix it, because I am struggling to get everything dry in this weather. How hard is it to get all your socks and undies dry in the wet weather? I hate hanging out socks and undies – they seem NEVER ENDING!
I feel like I overwhelmed myself this week in an effort to fill my kids life with the best I could offer. I wanted to be the best Mum I could be serving up delicious meals and conducting fun craft activities and participating at preschool – teaching Mr Moo’s class about healthy eating and helping them create not one but three healthy snacks for morning tea.
I want my kids to be bilingual and even though my native language is English. I listen to Pimsleur Croatian audiobooks in the car. Paul Pimsleur was a scholar in the field of applied linguistics. He developed the Pimsleur language learning system, which, along with his many publications, had a significant effect upon theories of language learning and teaching.
I recently read this quote and maybe that’s what snookered me this week – “Everything you say to our child will be absorbed, catalogued and remembered” – Maria Montessori.
There’s a good chance you’ll end up singing your child’s favourite lullaby more times than Neil Diamond has sung “Sweet Caroline,” so choose wisely! Here are 20 songs that you won’t get sick of at bedtime. I love singing ‘Beautiful Boy’ by John Lennon.
Erika captured my attention with her post ‘so sleep, can we be friends again?’
Have you read Liv from EenieMeenieMineyMum? Here is her latest post ‘confessions from the preschool party circuit‘. We have just begun preschool – and with three boys to go through, I am sure that we will have our fare share of stories.
And as the weather cools down {or at least I hope it cools down a little, seeing as it is now Autumn}, I plan on whipping up this homemade chunky steak pie from All Mum Said.
Are you planning on whipping up anything interesting in this cooler weather? What songs do you sing to your children? Do you often bite off more then you can chew? What do you have planned for the weekend?
Every Saturday morning, we will open up the rabbit hole link up for bloggers to add their link list posts or even just their favourite post {if you are not of the link list kind} for the week. Please link only one post. This makes it fair for everyone and allows more posts to be read.
Talking of reading, do try and pop along to say hello to some of the other lovely linkers. This week, you can link up here or pop on over and say hello to Sammie from The Annoyed Thyroid, Jess from Confident Life or Paula from The Geeky Shopaholic. It doesn’t matter where you add your link because it will appear on both blogs, as if by magic! The link up will stay open until midnight the following Monday.
