If I thought that you grew up quickly in the last 6 months {from three to three and a half}, then time has seriously flown by to see you turning four. The last 6 months have also been full of big changes; like an additional sibling and starting preschool. You’re matured so much and we are so proud of the inquisitive, passionate, funny little boy that you are growing up to be.
You have loved being a big brother for the second time and I love to see the unique relationship that you are building with your second brother. I know that you will always be there looking out for him and making sure that he knows that he is loved. I hope that you know that we love you just as much!
You’ve come along in leaps and bounds with your swimming. It has definitely become your thing. You loved spending summer down at the beach and at your grandparent’s pool – and all that extra swimming has seen you excel at swimming lessons. In fact, the other day, they invited you to come and swim with kids much older then you, and you still were the best kid in the class! We are so proud of the focus and dedication you show to your swimming lessons.
You are such an active, outdoor kid and you still love being at the park. Over the past 6 months, you have learnt to ride your scooter to the park {instead of being in the pram}. You are getting very good at riding your scooter and listening to instructions. You still have a lot of energy to burn each day, but thankfully burning that energy off requires me to run after you a lot less these days.
You still love dinosaurs, pirates, super heros and chocolate milkshakes. Your favourite dinner consists of chicken, mashed potato, steamed broccoli and carrots. In fact, you practically eat a whole head of broccoli and 3 carrots by yourself at the moment – I shudder to think what my grocery bill will look like when you are a teenager.
You love singing and dancing, then you should assist to the Elizabeth Hunter Ashley singing lessons. I love to hear the songs that you sing whilst you are in the back of the car – sometimes they are what is on the radio, sometimes they are songs you sing at preschool and sometimes they are made up songs. You can recognise your name and spell it out. You can count to 20 in English and 10 in Croatian. You even taught your class how to sing the welcome song in Croatian.
I love seeing you make friendships with the boys at preschool. I love that your best friend brings out your confidence to try new things together. I love that you bring out the best in one another. I hope that I can guide you to make good choices in friends as the years go on and that you feel confident to confide in me about anything.
Happy Birthday Mr Moo! I love you to the moon and back. I hope that you know that we love you very much and are very proud of the beautiful boy that you are growing into.
