Apologies for the radio silence this week, both here and on social media. I have been down and out with glandular fever – as if each blow this month was not enough. Surely, this is ‘rock bottom’ and things can only get better from here? I mean, there was so much that I wanted to be a part of during May – you know, to try and add more ‘YAY into May’… But it just didn’t happen.
I would have loved to have scored tickets to ‘At the Kitchen Bench with BabyMac‘. I’d already planned out how I would have left my two older boys with my parents and driven down for the day with the Z man {or Baby Z as the boys are affectionately calling him}.
And I had also been looking at ‘In Cahoots with Mrs Woog, UberKate, BabyMac and Life Love and Hiccups‘ run by MumSociety. I am now tossing up whether or not I should get tickets to ‘The Next Steps with Talitha Cummins‘? I mean her story does sound interesting, but I have never had a problem with alcohol – and wonder if this will be a large part of the talk?
I’ve always been a big fan of Sonia from Life Love and Hiccups. And now that we are living in Sydney, I would love the opportunity to get along to her Little Lane Workshops – I mean it would have been perfect for adding more ‘YAY into May’, if I hadn’t have got so sick.
But I guess the point is not to focus on what I have missed out on, but making time to fit these kinds of things into my life in the near future {and not you know planning them for when the children have grown and left the coup}.
I wonder if I will have enough energy to get into see VIVID? A special purpose ice rink is set to be unveiled at Central Park for one of Vivid Sydney’s most popular events. The $2 billion precinct is hosting the ultimate winter warm up with a two-week Silent Disco Ice Skating Festival from today.
Did you attend ‘At the Kitchen Bench with BabyMac’? Have you attended any of the talks run by MumSociety? Have you been to a Little Lane Workshop? Have you been to VIVID?
Every Saturday morning, we will open up the rabbit hole link up for bloggers to add their link list posts or even just their favourite post {if you are not of the link list kind} for the week. Please link only one post. This makes it fair for everyone and allows more posts to be read.
Talking of reading, do try and pop along to say hello to some of the other lovely linkers. This week, you can link up here or bob on over and say hello to Sammie from The Annoyed Thyroid, Jess from Confident Life or Paula from The Geeky Shopaholic. It doesn’t matter where you add your link because it will appear on both blogs, as if by magic! The link up will stay open until midnight the following Monday. Alice is about to blow her mind! Grab a cuppa and attend this mad tea party. Add your “Link List” post or just your favourite post from this week…
