How are we in November? My October was jammed packed with a big annual awards gala ball that I organised, the Z man’s birthday, first birthday parties in the park on every other weekend riding my Nashville Jumbotron truck, trips to Canberra, and packing up our house for the big move on Saturday – so it has definitely flown by.
Packing up the house this time around was definitely easier then packing up the house with two children under three and being 30 weeks pregnant. But I still think packing up the house single handed, with three children, with your husband interstate is not easy. Mum actually did pop in yesterday and we powered through all of the glass items and crockery together which was nice.
And the boys are going to go and have a sleep over at Mum’s on Friday night so that they aren’t here whilst the removalist are packing everything on the truck – which will definitely be easier then when they were around in Canberra – crying, because it was freezing and we couldn’t turn the heater on as the removalist had removed the entire row of glass sliding doors to get everything out easily.
In hindsight, there wasn’t anything that I or the boys could have done, so we just should have hopped in the car and gone to a cafe for a coffee and a babycino, they love the coffee cup lids this cafe gives them, they are from http://foamaroma.com/.

**NEW COLLABORATION**
I’m pretty excited to announced that I am collaborating with Supabarn to bring you one exciting product per month in my IMK post. I was a big fan of Supabarn when I was living in Canberra and I was delighted to find out that it was also my local when we moved to Sydney.
This month, I’d like to highlight Supabarn’s meat! It definitely isn’t on the menu every night {after our month of veganism}. But we are enjoying some high quality meat from our local Supabarn like these beautiful Rib Eye Scotch Fillet Steaks. I can’t wait to pop them on the BBQ when we have friends over to our new home.
Supabarn stores have qualified butchers in-store cutting up fresh meat every day. None of their meat is cut or pre-packaged before arriving in-store {unlike the majors these days}.

We have mangoes! We picked up our first box of mangoes last week on our drive from Canberra to Sydney. They were delicious and we put them into some of our favourite recipes like these mango waffles {picture below}, Asian Beef Salad with Mangoes, Mango and Coconut Overnight Chia Puddings, and Mango, Banana and Coconut Muffins.
Thank God! I was just about to lose my mind when my threenager had a melt down every time that he asked for mango and I had to reply that it wasn’t in season. I’d tried to give him the ‘canned’ mango but it definitely does not taste the same and no one in our household wanted to eat that – well, Z man actually did eat it when I pureed it and added it to greek yoghurt {waste not, want not}.

We are sucking on these delicious healthy iceblocks from Proud & Punch. Apple, beetroot, carrot and ginger would have to be one of our favourite juice combinations – so when I found it in iceblock form, I knew that that box of iceblocks was coming home with me. Yes, I could make these myself, but sometimes it’s nice to have a treat in the freezer that you can just pull out.

I’ll be whipping up ricotta gnocchi. I feel like this ricotta gnocchi with tomato and basil salad is a perfect spring meal. It’s quick, easy and light. The ricotta gnocchi is so much easier then potato gnocchi and there isn’t too much time spent in the kitchen. I can’t wait to bring a big bowl of this salad to the outdoor table in our new house.
Which also reminds me that I am hoping to get a little potted garden going at our new house. We have more room and I am dying to get my own little garden going again. I think I’ll try and start on herbs, cherry tomatoes, lettuce and strawberries – as they are always on demand in our household. Let me know what else you think works well in pots.

I’m drinking tumeric lattes. I think I have a coffee addiction and I am trying to cut down on my once a day trip to the local cafe…I can’t drink instant coffee and tea sometimes just doesn’t cut it – I think it’s a textural thing…so I am trying tumeric lattes.
