Wow – where should I begin? It’s March and I’ve actually been working full time for the last 2 weeks. It’s been a big adjustment in our household and at times, it has been overwhelming – but we are doing it! I’m working full time and my husband has stepped into the role of primary carer (running our businesses from home).
I’m still doing the majority of the cooking, but I must admit that last week I came home to dinner on the table twice. The first was home made pizza (and a delicious glass of wine) and the second was baked chicken, potatoes and salad (I had pre-marinated the chicken and all he had to do was pop it in the oven, but it was good).
I must admit, he has gone above and beyond in the lunch box making. I packed the lunch boxes week one to show him what to do and in week two he was setting jelly in one of the compartments so that the boys could have jelly whilst at school.

**COLLABORATION**
I’ve got some of this delicious Elderflower Cordial from Supabarn. I used to think that gin was terrible – but I think gin takes a bad wrap from its traditional partnership with tonic water {BLURGH}. I was introduced to gin, elderflower and soda water and it completely changed my opinion of gin.
Here are some more great cocktails using elderflower cordial. Do yourself a favour and make an Absolut Elderflower Fizz – except use soda water instead of tonic water.
Another great thing about Supabarn is that I can pick up all of my grocery needs and my alcohol in the one place. I mean, after working all day I definitely find that I am in need of a relaxing beverage at the end of the day {and people said it was harder being at home with three kids}.

My husband is taking over the packing of lunch boxes – which is very nice {and means that I am able to get out the door quicker in the mornings}. The boys love having a little bit of everything in their boxes and are very sad to see the end of the summer fruit season. Way more pears and oranges to grace our lunch boxes in the coming months {with a banana and an apple to go as ‘crunch and sip’}.

We have two lovely bottles of Poor Toms Gin. These were beautiful gifts from our friend’s wedding that we attended in Canberra. Poor Toms Gin is a craft distillery in Sydney’s inner west dedicated purely to making gin. The Groom’s sister’s boyfriend works at Poor Toms Gin and we can’t wait to crack them open and give them a go!

We shall be whipping up some pasta with this delicious Nonna Maria’s Napilitana Sauce that we picked up last time we were in Canberra at the Capital Region Farmers Market. This was one of my favourite places to go whilst we lived in Canberra – and the other day, we hit up the market for coffee which we usually get from the Perfect Coffeee! site online.

I’ve got some wonderful Bread Nerds bagels. The bagels are boiled and then baked which gives them that chewy texture that everyone loves. And although I am a sucker for their blueberry bagels, I think that I may have found a new favourite in their chilli and cheese.
