Children seem to get so much more chocolate at Easter time then I remember us getting. And it also seems to be in the shops earlier and earlier – so the battle in leaving it behind so that the Easter bunny can bring it, seems to get longer and longer.
I like to have some eggs so that we can do an Easter egg hunt on Easter morning, but I also like to have some non-chocolate gifts.
I mean, there is only so much chocolate that a 5 year old needs – let alone your 2 year old (or great gifts for children under 1 that shouldn’t be eating any chocolate).
So today, I wanted to share with you some of my favourite non-chocolate Easter gifts.
Craft Activities
You can’t go past these beautiful wooden decorations that your child can customise (there are some specific designs that are made for your children to paint) from Mocked. Or the beautiful, Easter scented, play-dough from Happy Hands Happy Hearts.
PJs and Clothing
I mean, can we just appreciate how cute these Easter inspired PJs from Parker&Co. Snugglebum are also doing some pretty sweet Easter inspired PJs for older kids – oh and they have AfterPay.
Other awesome people whipping up some great Easter options include; TopKnotGirl and her beautiful Easter inspired headbands, Mocked and her cute rabbit mini messenger bags, or maybe a cute set of breast pads from Milkmade Ave can be gifted to your newborn/your tired self (I mean your newborn is really only interested in the breast milk).
Something to keep…
In a world in which everything is single use and we are bound by this law of consumerism, why not purchase something like a customised bucket or bag that you use each year and build some memories. Or go all out and craft/create your own.
These customised buckets from Baby Jumpie Store are only $15. Or maybe you’re a fan of these customised calico bags from JiMi Offical.
So what do you think your children will be getting this Easter? Are you going all out with a backyard full of chocolate Easter eggs? Are you gifting new winter PJs? Are you looking at cute Easter stories that you can purchase? Let me know…
