Wow – we blinked and we are in April. This month marks the end of the first term of primary school. It marks Mr Moo’s 6th birthday. It marks the arrival of our fourth child and me starting maternity leave. It also marks Mr GoodFoodWeek’s birthday and the possibility of him returning to full time work. Oh and Easter…
I thought that we would feel that change in the weather, but it still seems so warm and most nights we go to sleep with the fan on. I wonder if I will feel that Autumn chill when we come out of hospital with baby number four – I’m looking forward to that weather that is perfect for breast feeding and newborn baby snuggles.

I’ve given into pregnancy cravings and purchased these Messina Drumsticks when they were two for one at our local Supabarn. I picked up a packet of the Dulce De Leche and the Roasted Hazelnut. I was a little bit disappointed with the Dulce De Leche – but the Hazelnut was delicious.

I’m thinking all things roast pork and how we might serve it for Easter. I love a simple roast pork with amazing crackling – this image shows it simply sitting on potatoes, fennel, garlic and pears, seasoned with sea salt and fennel seeds. I’ve also whipped up a milk braised pork rack for Easter in the past that really is delicious.

I received a great little pack of snacks from HarvestBox, which will come in handy when I am super hungry all the time because I am breast feeding a hungry newborn. I also thought that I would share with you these beautiful breast pads that I purchased from Milkmade Ave – I have had multiple sets with the others and love them so much.

I also got this beautiful delivery from Josh & Sue . I’ve purchased their Rose Harissa and their preserved lemons before and so I can’t wait to try out their new products.

I’ve been popping a little Meredith Dairy Marinated Goat Cheese on some simple pizzas – I mean when you’re 9 months pregnant and you’re trying to avoid ordering takeaway to save as much money as you can in the lead up to maternity leave – you embrace the simple ‘fakeaway’.
So what’s been in your kitchen of late? Are you planning school lunchboxes? Do you meal plan? Do you shop the sales? Do you have a food budget? Do you prepare meals for a large family? Are you planning an Easter menu?
