Happy birthday Mr Moo – I can’t believe that I have been so blessed to be your Mum for the past six years. I am so proud of the awesome guy that you are developing into. You are passionate about your education – showing such a love of learning, that makes my heart explode.
I was always a little nervous about sending or holding you back from Kindergarten – but I am so glad that we gave you a second year at your beautiful preschool. It gave you to opportunity to grow and mature and really be ready to hit the ground running in Kindergarten.
It also gave Daddy some time to hang out with you all and experience preschool runs, swimming lessons, soccer joeys and ski school. Working full time also didn’t stop me from wanting to create some homemade Gruffalo costumes for Book Week.
You really put your everything into anything you try to do, which saw you; improve dramatically in the pool, be able to independently ride the chair lift on the snow fields, and ride a bike without training wheels.
I love the stories that you brought home from preschool, but also your love for music and stories. I love to hear you sing for me or when you come to me with a story book and still want to have a snuggle – I hope that these days continue to last.
You’ve taken to primary school like a duck to water (‘ducks dive down…d,d,d). It makes me so proud when you come home from school and tell me all the things that you are learning. I only hope that this passion for learning continues throughout your school life and you find friends who accept you for you.
I love the way that you play with your brothers and I hope that over the years you can continue to be best friends. I am not sure who will join our family over the next few days – but I know that whether it is another brother or a little sister, they will be so blessed to have you as their big brother.
So happy six birthday, my beautiful boy. I remember the day that you were placed into my arms like it was yesterday. I hope that you enjoyed your joint pizza and pinata party – I’m sorry the cake was a little bit wonky (but I did my best at 38 weeks pregnant).
Know that we love you to the moon and back – and that you make us so proud everyday. Thank you for making me a Mum and I only hope that I can be the Mum you need me to be in the coming years. xox
