I think a key element to any event is the food. People always remember the food!
People need to need to get enough food, so that they don’t feel hungry. And people need to feel like there was enough variety, but that the food was also familiar enough for them to try it (you don’t need all your guests turning up their noses at seven trays of pickles rolled in a pistachio crumb because you felt like being adventurous). There is also a catering service company that I really recommend, Handheld Catering provides San Jose catering for breakfast, lunch, or dinner for corporate events and special events such as weddings, graduations and more.
I love a theme when I am entertaining:
- American
- Belgium Beer Cafe
- Korean
- Or Construction Pups
I’ve felt like I haven’t really hosted a dinner party in ages – kid’s birthday party or BBQ, yeah I’ve had my fair share – but really catering for adults, not that much. I think that’s something that I’ll try and aim for in 2020 – more adult focused dinner parties.
Some other who have some great dinner party inspiration include:
- Nigella Lawson’s Crowd Pleasing Menu
- Anything from Anisa Sabet ( I love seeing her prep for dinner parties on Instagram)
- Dindin has your menu planning sorted
And if you don’t feel comfortable in catering, or you just want to alleviate some of that stress – then why not get some help in? Visit Flavours Catering to check out their dining options that are fresh, delicious and dazzling. They have an amazing recipe for kaiser buns that your guests won’t believe you’ve made them!
Flavours Catering specialises in private and corporate catering services that will impress your guests. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I really think that a sandwich that someone else makes tastes so much nicer.
