Review: Mater Mothers maternity & babycare products

July 31, 2014 by Shari

Having a baby leads to a lot of changes in your life. One of these changes which often is forgotten about is the changes in your skin. Not only the stretching of skin over your belly, but for the fact that hormone changes will have an impact on your skin in general. Click here to learn more.
As mums, we are often thinking about our little one’s skin needs, but I think that it is also time that we took the time to think about ourselves. Looking for cosmetic surgeon in melbourne, do visit us.
Mater maternity and baby care products have been developed specifically for newborn babies and mums. These products have been formulated to be suitable for sensitive skin using safe and ethical ingredients.

Mater maternity and babycare products spoke to me because they are suitable for sensitive skin and pH balanced, contain low irritant ingredients and are manufactured in South East Queensland.

I already have a son with sensitive skin so I always am drawn towards baby products which are formulated with this in mind. I always make sure to follow the expert opinions.

I also love the fact that these products are manufactured in Australia because we have some of the stricted standards in terms of what can be included in our products and how they are manufactured and I really just want the best for my children.

My favourite product, which I was sent a sample of, was the Mater body balm for pregnancy. It helps soften and replenish your skin through the stress and stretching of pregnancy. This soothing balm is an ideal moisturising treatment specially formulated to promote softness and elasticity and help reduce the appearance of stretch marks.

I really enjoyed using this product as I felt like my skin was extra dry this time around, due to my pregnancy occuring in winter. It felt awesome going on and the smell wasn’t over powering.

I also really liked using it after taking my aqua aerobics class – there is nothing (or at least I feel like there is nothing better) then the feeling of weightlessness when being in the pool whilst pregnant. But public pools are often chlorinated to the hills so the water can have a big impact on your skin – but I really liked the way that Mater body balm for pregnancy kept my skin soft and smooth.

The Mater body balm for pregnancy retails for $13.99 for 150g – and is something that you can just pick up for yourself whilst you are purchasing the Mater baby wash ($13.99 for 500mL) and Mater baby moisturiser ($14.99 for 500mL) for your little one.

GoodFoodWeek started in 2008 as a way of sharing recipes with uni friends and family who were spread near and far. It has evolved over the years to contain my ramblings as I’ve searched for a house, planned the perfect veggie patch, stumbled through farmer’s markets with my eye half open (because you need to be there at 6am to get the fresh eggs), had babies, gathered family and friends around a shared table, laughed out loud and enjoyed life to the fullest!
