Recipes: All things Christmas

December 15, 2014 by Shari

It’s the final count down to Christmas. Can you believe that there are only 10 days left? Are you sitting down to plan your Christmas menu – thinking ‘What can you bring to the table this year to impress your family and friends?’… Why not check out some of these recipes from Christmas past and see if they float your boat.

Maybe whip up this Christmas inspired meatloaf with some of your leftovers or make it for a special Christmas Eve dinner…
Want something super simple and yet with a lot of wow factor for breakfast on Christmas morning? Why not try my apricot bread and butter puddings {come on it’s Christmas – give yourself some dessert for breakfast}.

For all you pregnant or breast feeding Mummies out there – don’t worry, I have you covered with this delicious iced tea punch. And just look at it – all red and Christmasy.

You can’t go wrong with these stuffing cups – perfect with any turkey or ham {or even without a turkey or ham}… basically what I am saying is ‘get these in your Christmas belly’.

Now here is my recipe for the perfect post Christmas dinner sandwich. I actually sent a text message to some random person last year to bring some cheese to my house {as I was making this sandwich}, turns out my friend had changed their number.

And if you haven’t tried pumpkin pie then you should get onto this recipe! Pumpkin isn’t just a veggie for roasting any longer.

Do you plan your Christmas menu? Do you have something special to eat on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning? Share some of your traditions with me!

GoodFoodWeek started in 2008 as a way of sharing recipes with uni friends and family who were spread near and far. It has evolved over the years to contain my ramblings as I’ve searched for a house, planned the perfect veggie patch, stumbled through farmer’s markets with my eye half open (because you need to be there at 6am to get the fresh eggs), had babies, gathered family and friends around a shared table, laughed out loud and enjoyed life to the fullest!
