I never would have guessed that when my husband threw out that he wanted to move to Sydney at Christmas time, that we would in fact be in Sydney less then 6 months later. You see, I think that my husband is a great planner and talker, but actually following through with what he says isn’t his forte. As I sat in the park, telling my good friend from high school that he wanted to move to Sydney, we both smiled, but thought that it was all probably just talk.
But we have in fact moved and I am typing this post from my new set up in Sydney.
I can’t believe that we are finally here. It was tough packing up our house so pregnant without the help of family in Canberra – thankfully, my Mum came down to Canberra for four days to help me out and we got it all done and dusted.
It has been hard to say goodbye to our friends in Canberra and finishing up the boys activities. The Little Dude had been attending Gymbaroo and Paint and Play since he was born {even if he was just in the Babybjorn watching his brother climb and jump and sing, until he was able to participate}.
I know that we we slowly find our feet in Sydney and we will make new routines. In fact, we have made some pretty awesome routines so far – including a great Wednesday play date and Aqua on Thursdays.
I decided that I still wanted to remain active during this pregnancy – even if yoga was getting a little too much. So I switched it up and thought that I would try Aqua at my local Fitness First {as the boys loved attending the creche so much in Canberra}.
I’d been to Aqua in Canberra, whilst I was pregnant with The Little Dude, so knew it was something that I would be comfortable with. I loved it – even if most people in the class were over the age of 65.
It felt fantastic to be in the water and I am hoping that I will be able to work through my contractions in the bath again when I go into labour – which reminds me, we have to work out when we can do a walk through of the birthing suites at the new hospital.
I know that there are going to be more big changes before the baby arrives – including the launch of our new business in Bondi. But I am so glad that we have made the move to Sydney and are settling in well.
Who says that you can’t move states, start a new business and bring another addition into your family all in a matter of months?
Do you have an awesome routine with your little ones? Recommend any parks or activities on the Southside of Sydney? Have you moved whilst pregnant? What kept you active during your pregnancy {besides running after other children}? Keen to hear more about our new business in Bondi?

Gosh you truly have had a lot on your hands. Hope you are feeling better. We’re on the other side of the city so, not really helpful with park suggestions on the south side of the city. Though I can suggest watching the planes takeoff from The Grand parade, if your boys are into transport.

Yes, I have thought to take the boys down to watch the planes take off. I think that they would enjoy that.

We moved into our current house when I was 37 weekend pregnant and three days before Christmas lol. But a new business too – you sure don’t do things by halves chick. Take care of yourself xx

I’ve been single parenting whilst we have been in Sydney so my husband can sort out things in Canberra. Yesterday, I went to have my blood glucose test and ended up throwing up so they sent me home and I’ll probably have to do it again. I’m in my third trimester and I just want things to slow down a little – hopefully soon 🙁
