Life: The Ultimate Rabbit Hole

January 28, 2017 by Shari

Welcome back for another week of the Ultimate Rabbit Hole. Can you believe that January 2017 is almost over? Have you been taking it slow or has it been like ‘wasn’t Christmas four months ago?’ Life with three children is definitely intense, but I am trying to make the most of the moments of joy. Because even through the poo explosions, sleepless nights, trips to the emergency, crying, and crazy fights over the toy that the other person has – there is joy and laughter and love.

Last Saturday, we attended a Pirates and Princesses birthday party. The boys wore pirate eye-patches, earrings, black cardboard pirate hats that my Mum made for the boys, and ‘pirates of Croatia’ t-shirts that their Dida brought back from his last trip home. You can check out some incredible pirate party ideas here. And if you’re blessed enough to be able to think about a trip to Croatia this year, here are the top 10 things to do in Croatia via TripAdvisor.

Did you enjoy watching the Australian Open? Who was your favourite player of the tournament? I found it ‘humorous’ that AllWomenTalk promoted tennis in such a manner – Tennis is not only is it an excellent form of exercise, but it’s also great fun, and you get to wear super cute clothes! Here are 10 better reasons to play tennis {that don’t include ‘cute outfits’}.

Settling back into the work/school routine? I’m not a school Mum yet {does preschool count? I am not sure}, but I loved this post about ‘asking the right questions at school pick up‘. So, you’ve asked all the questions and you think your child is suffering some school anxiety? Well check out this post about 6 tips to reduce school anxiety. And I think that this guilt-free frozen banana ice-cream would make the perfect afternoon snack for anyone 5 years old to 95 years old.

Looking forward to you favourite shows starting back up on TV? We are massive fans of My Kitchen Rules and can’t wait for it to start up again.

Every Saturday morning, we will open up the rabbit hole link up for bloggers to add their link list posts or even just their favourite post {if you are not of the link list kind} for the week. Please link only one post. This makes it fair for everyone and allows more posts to be read.

Talking of reading, do try and pop along to say hello to some of  the other lovely linkers. This week, you can link up here or bob on over and say hello to Sammie from The Annoyed Thyroid, Jess from Confident Life or Paula from  The Geeky Shopaholic. It doesn’t matter where you add your link because it will appear on both blogs, as if by magic!  The link up will stay open until midnight the following Monday. Alice is about to blow her mind! Grab a cuppa and attend this mad tea party. Add your “Link List” post or just your favourite post from this week…

Shari from GoodFoodWeek

GoodFoodWeek started in 2008 as a way of sharing recipes with uni friends and family who were spread near and far. It has evolved over the years to contain my ramblings as I’ve searched for a house, planned the perfect veggie patch, stumbled through farmer’s markets with my eye half open (because you need to be there at 6am to get the fresh eggs), had babies, gathered family and friends around a shared table, laughed out loud and enjoyed life to the fullest!
