Our boys often ask us to make them a smoothie when they get home from school or swimming. This is a fun little recipe that includes fruit and veggies and a little treat (it also means that your chocolate ice-cream will stretch even further).
And I am all about the food stretching further at the moment. We seem to be powering through milk and cereal like it’s no one’s business – growing boys sure do EAT!
They also think it’s a great treat to drink it out of these fun little glass milk jars with these beautiful rose gold re-useable straws that we got from Treehut Village.
Tree Hut Village connects parents across Australia and New Zealand to facilitate buying and hiring safe, high-quality baby equipment more accessible for everyone. This also enables families to try out premium equipment rather than purchasing cheap alternatives for short term use – which helps reduce the amount of waste going to landfills.
God knows I will have a few things that I will want to list after baby number four!
Recipe: Choc Banana Smoothies
- 2 cups of frozen cauliflower rice
- 4 frozen bananas
- 1 cup of ice
- 2 cups of milk
- 1 cup of chocolate ice-cream
Place all the ingredients in a blender and blitz until smooth. You may need to add a splash of extra milk if your blender isn’t blitzing it.
This also works really nicely with almond milk and chocolate coconut yoghurt if you want to make this smoothie without dairy.
Have you ever whipped up a recipe from my blog? I would love for you to let me know…So I don’t feel as if I am just writing all this stuff down for nothing… If you choose to whip up one of my recipes , then I would love for you to share it on social media, and don’t forget to use the hashtag #goodfoodweek.
