Wow – September, you can practically write off the year now. Because September equals everyone’s birthdays and then October is Z man’s birthday, we will baptise Buddy Boy, and then it’s Halloween. And I can tell you, as soon as Halloween hits, everyone goes into this crazy tail spin until it’s Christmas.
Is it bad to say that I’ve actually started my Christmas shopping?
It’s September and I’m thankful that the weather is beginning to warm up. I’m sick of coughs and colds. I think I’ve got a little PTSD from all the coughing…and let me tell you, my husband’s has been the worst!
I’m looking forward to more salads and BBQ weather and being able to eat outside – which will also be helpful as Buddy Boy starts his journey with solids.

I have coffee! Show me a mother of four who doesn’t need coffee. We normally use our Keep Cups or make our own coffees at home, but Mum brought this around as a special treat. Have you been to Son of a Baker? It has some seriously good food!

Well, actually, most weeks we are eating pancakes. The boys love to have them for breakfast – and last Sunday, we had them with nutella, banana, strawberries and blueberries. I mean, I am normally a butter and maple syrup girl, but these were seriously good.
I purchased the nutella because I really want to give the stuffed nutella doughnuts a go in my Sunbeam Pie maker.

We gave these Kettle Flat Bread Crackers a go on a recent picnic in the city. The boys are a big fan of a savoury biscuit and these were delicious.

I’m making the most of the rhubarb season. It’s been delicious this season and it reminds me of my grandparents. My pop used to grow rhubarb in his garden and my Nana stewed it with apples and served it with ice-cream.
I’ve been cooking up crumble and eating it with creamy custard and it has been the BOMB!

We have given Marion’s Classic Japanese Teriyaki sauce a crack. Simple dinner 101. Marinate the chicken. Boil some rice and team with a Japanese style coleslaw. Super quick and devoured by all the kitchen (loved so much that leftovers went into the lunchboxes the next day).
