And just like that, we are in the third trimester. When did that happen? I guess what they say is true – your pregnancy does feel shorter with each new baby {because you are busy running around after other little ones… oh and you know, moving interstate and starting a new business}.
In fact, a little article was published on GoodFood a couple of days ago unveiling a little bit of our new business to hit the ‘PACIFIC’ at Bondi Beach – to all my fellow foodies, we would love your support. Our business partners, the Millers, have spilt the beans on the porridge, but it is more then just breakfast.
I decided that I would do some online shopping at Blossom and Glow. Most of my maternity wear has faithfully seen me through almost three pregnancies now. So I felt a little ‘meh’ about wearing the same old things, day in, day out. After we finally went to Organic Gender in Riverview, Florida to find our baby’s gender, I stopped by a local maternity shop and invested in two dresses that can be worn after pregnancy and during breastfeeding – I mean, who doesn’t love a multi-functional piece of clothing?
The little black dress is actually from ‘Eve of Eden’ which is the same brand as the maternity/breastfeeding friendly dress that I bought to come home in when Mr Moo was born {also pictured below – me rocking the dress this time around at 30 weeks pregnant}.
I had a busy week when I had to do my blood glucose test and have an extra ultrasound to check on baby’s growth. I hate the drink you have to drink – I mean, have you met a person who actually didn’t mind it? I was able to keep it down for the first hour, but shortly after my blood was drawn, I threw up which meant that they were unable to take the second blood draw an hour later. I am hoping that my results will be fine and I won’t have to take the test again.
The extra scan of baby proved that we had nothing to worry about – in terms of baby’s growth. The new OB was a little worried that the baby was slightly smaller then the boys, but I said to him that I was quiet happy to push out a baby at 3.4kgs rather then the boys 4kgs {and you never know, this difference in size could hint at it being a girl?}.
In saying that, they said that my brother {my mum’s third} was going to be smaller then both her babies and after a long, drawn out labour, she delivered a baby almost 10 pounds – who definitely did not fit into the tiny 0000 suit that she had bought to the hospital.
I’ve given up Netball and Yoga now for less strenuous exercise such as walking and aqua. Although walking with two little ones can be pretty strenuous at times. I am really enjoying my aqua class, even if the majority of the class is over the age of 60.
I am trying not to eat everything in the house because I am hungry all the time. My husband is not helping, as every time I am at the shops, he calls me to pick up ice-cream.So the other day, whilst I was out I picked up this ice-cream especially for him.
The baby is super active – as commented on by every sonographer we have had so far. I remember both of the boys being active – but not this active. We have a video of Mr Moo holding his umbilical cord and doing a 360 flip during an ultrasound. The Little Dude was also a big kicker – but I remember that some days I would have to lie down and make sure that I was feeling kicks. There is no doubt that this baby is getting it’s kick rate up.
So here we are at 30 weeks and I can’t believe that there is approximately 10 weeks until you are here on the outside with us. I am looking forward to the surprise of finding out your gender and I am sure that in approximately 10 weeks after your birth, it will feel like you have always been with us. I love you to the moon and back!

I wish I had heard of Blossom and Glow earlier. A new friend told me about them on Friday and their stuff is gorgeous!
P.S. {puts hand up} I seriously don’t mind the glucose drink. Wouldn’t buy it at the shops of anything but it doesn’t bother me.

There stuff really is gorgeous, Karin. They also have a lot of breast feeding friendly and post maternity pieces {i.e. just great pieces for a Mum to wear if you’ve got a 5 year old and you want to run around after them at the park}.
Argh – I can’t believe you don’t mind the glucose drink. I think that you are seriously the first person who I have spoken to that can stomach it.

Thanks Sammie – you never know if you’re looking okay or more like a whale. Here is another article that was published about the new business on Concrete Playground: http://concreteplayground.com/sydney/food-drink/food-2/mr-perkins-is-bondis-new-san-fransisco-inspired-soup-shop/ {if you’re interested}.

You and your bump are looking great! 🙂
I bought a couple of pieces in the third trimester too. They were non maternity so I could wear them for a few weeks and still enjoy them post pregnancy too. Worked out well, I’m liking the pieces still 🙂

Oh thanks Mica. I’m glad that I can wear these pieces in the fourth trimester {i.e. they are all appropriate to breast feed in}. It’s so tough when your body goes through so many massive changes in a short period of time – but it is lovely to know that you purchased pieces and that you’re still liking them.
